This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a subscription.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a subscription.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
In visual arts, a motif I have enjoyed exploring through various mediums is the lotus flower, a popular Southeast Asian symbol. Its prevalence in different and similar forms in other cultures art, from Monets water lilies to ancient Egyptian columns, strengthens my belief in the arts ability to unite people despite differences in time and location. To me, the flower is a representation of my philosophy: Buddhism, pacifism, feminism and a dedication to my home country.
I imagine lotuses competing to grow in a muddy a pond as analogous to Cambodias current state: struggling with inequality and striving to move on from a turbulent past. Like other Khmers, my life and the lives of my family have been deeply affected by violence brought about by the Khmer Rouge regime, years of Cambodian civil wars and the Indochina War. Through the lotus flower, I aim to evoke in Cambodians a reminder of their Buddhist beliefs and present a lasting image of peace.
To paraphrase the Buddha: If we could see the miracle of a single flower clearly, our whole life would change.
